PACE children from Willow and Cherry groups enjoyed a fabulous theatrical treat in May 2016 thanks to the Ultra Surefire Group.

Fabulous experience for PACE children thanks to Ultra Surefire Group

Our support enabled the children to travel to see performances given by Oily Cart, a renowned theatre group who specialise in wonderful, highly sensory theatrical productions for children and young people with disabilities and special needs. In the course of each performance, the artists respond sensitively to each individual's reaction and tailor each sensory experience to the child. Each participant had their own unique experience, precisely reflecting their interests and ways of communication. So not only was it great fun for the children (and staff who accompanied them), it had a very great therapeutic and educational value for each child.

Claire Smart, Co-Head of Primary and Early Years Services at PACE, said “We don’t always have the funds to take up opportunities such as these but we are determined that the children should have every opportunity to get out into the community and experience everything it has to offer. Arranging trips like can be time consuming and transport in particular is very expensive, but today’s trip was extremely valuable for the children. We’re so grateful to Ultra Surefire Group for giving the children such a wonderful experience.”
